I had a lot of doubts about acupuncture actually working, but because nothing else worked (rhizotomy, cortisone, yoga, etc.) and my low back pain continued to plague me almost every day, I thought I would try it.  Dr. Lin made it easy to go to her because with a picture text of my insurance card, she confirmed that I was covered.  After five or six appointments I noticed a little bit of relief, and by the tenth, the relief was significant.  By the end of the second month, if I came in to an appointment with back pain, I would leave without any pain at all, without fail.  Dr. Lin is relentless—she wouldn’t let me go if I admitted I was still at a one or two in pain (after the needles).  She would then apply acupressure to the bones in my feet and it actually worked.  To date, about a year later, my pain has been reduced by an unscientific 60%.  Pain still comes and goes, but the degree of pain is much less and the frequency is lower.  I also like that I can text Dr. Lin if I need to cancel or am running late, which is more often than not, and she is very flexible and understanding.  Since we’ve gotten to know each other pretty well over the last year, there are some other things she has done for me with her magical needles, since I am already there anyway for my back.  It works.  J.
